Description:

KCBS is seeking an energetic, motivated outside salesperson to sell integrated marketing campaigns including on-air commercials, station events and digital assets.  Candidates must have the ability to generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, face-to-face appointments and developing marketing solutions. 

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:  Contacting prospective customers to sell integrated marketing campaigns.  Maintaining and growing account lists.  Prospecting and researching new accounts, account mapping, cold-calling, preparing presentations and campaign recaps, developing and growing relationships with clients by providing top quality service.  Communicating with other departments in the organization.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Already have a complete contact list of local buyers in the San Francisco/Bay Area

  • Have as complete a contact list as possible of local buyers in the San Francisco/Bay Area

  • Be prepared to "hit the ground running" with their contact list

  • Spend at least 50% of  work time engaging in sales and solicitations outside of the office

  • Proactively prospect and perpetually grow their contact list

  • Build business from advertisers who have local marketing budgets ​

  • Build Entercom's presence with local and spot buying agencies

  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets

  • Engage and strategize with senior level executives on the client side to demonstrate how Entercom can help meet their objectives

  • Prepare proposals and respond to RFP's

  • Participate in and represent Entercom at local sales ​at local industry events

  • Work with Marketing and Advertising Operations to ensure the client's needs are met

  • Stay current with online advertising trends and innovations
Qualifications:
  • Outgoing, organized, motivated, resourceful, naturally curious, entrepreneurial and competitive
  • Minimum of three years of outside sales experience in a competitive environment
  • College degree preferred
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint programs
  • Experience in media sales a plus
  • Access to an automobile
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
