Description:
Looking for an ambitious and hungry individual who works well collaboratively but can also take direction and run with it. You should live and breathe audience acquisition and a passion for music/entertainment, sports or news wouldn’t hurt. You have to be able to think like our consumers to be able to identify audience trends and ways to improve upon our content strategy. The Audience Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and setting strategies to fulfil our audience goals and executing them through paid media channels. He or she reports to the Director of Audience Development and works very closely with SVP of Revenue Operations, as well as the Director of Social Media in addition to assisting the Editorial and Sales teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage paid user acquisition to help facilitate quality audience growth on the Entercom network of websites while minimizing cost across multiple paid channels
  • Develop targeting and retargeting strategies based on existing paid campaign and site analytics on relevant demographic, psychographic and behavioral characteristics.  
  • Responsible for working with Rev Ops to establish ROI targets for evaluating performance in paid user growth across audience segments
  • Establish metrics to better evaluate performance in paid user growth and audience acquisition
  • Create and implement paid experiments across a litany of paid channels, monitor the success of experiments, and identify new channels to explore
  • Work with site content to package and optimize their creative for the most efficient distribution with excellent headline-writing or SEO optimization
  • Develop paid strategies that work in tandem with organic efforts
  • Track marketing trends across social media and paid audience acquisition

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 3-5 years of relevant digital marketing experience at a publisher or agency, including:
    • Paid content marketing (Taboola, Outbrain, etc.)
    • Paid social marketing/programming (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
    • Experience optimizing towards campaign KPI’s (CPC, CPM, CPA, etc.)
    • Experience setting up SEO/SEM best practices for both paid campaigns and organic efforts
    • Email Newsletter subscriber development
    • Audience segmentation, development and retargeting
    • Ability to analyze and digest results and data from executed campaigns to prioritize unique visitor attention
    • A/B Testing 
    • Syndicating and packaging content
