Description:
We are looking for a high-energy, solid news anchor who can write and has strong news judgment. Must be conversational and a creative story teller who can develop major local and statewide stories and interview newsmakers to enhance coverage of the station’s award-winning news brand. This person should also be active on social media. Some weekend availability is necessary.
Qualifications:

Must have a commanding on-air presence. Must be able to excel in breaking news coverage while maintaining a  strong journalistic background, an excellent broadcast voice and delivery. Must be able to work with experienced team to update copy and take complex information and make it easy to understand.  Expertise in digital audio production and computerized newsroom systems is preferred. Previous experience as an anchor and/or reporter in a news department is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required.
