Content Producer - RADIO.COM

RADIO.COM is looking for a highly motivated, creative and detail-oriented Content Producer to join our growing team based in our New York City, NY headquarters.
The ideal candidate is a quick-thinking self-starter and resourceful producer who has a way with words with the ability to ignite conversations in everything from pop culture to politics. You balance a sharp sense of humor with intelligent content analytics and you thrive in an open team environment. Multiple content management systems don’t scare you. You are passionate about news and entertainment news and driven to build traffic and audience with unique content marketing. You are on top of all of the latest news, particularly when it comes to human interest, lifestyle, breaking, and music news stories, and are constantly looking for stories that are a fit for the RADIO.COM brand.
- Produce, publish and distribute syndicated stories, videos, images, audio, social media content and other multimedia content across RADIO.COM’s platforms, focusing on owned and operated properties
- Write in a style that is appealing for specific audiences (e.g. classic rock vs. country) -- extensive knowledge of the music, talent and lifestyle / pop-culture landscape required
- Create content that drives audience growth and engagement, while supporting stations and sales needs, when needed.
- Understand reporting systems like Google Analytics and how to use data to drive audience growth
- Develop and maintain strong industry contacts to promote the content you create, getting it in front of new audiences, including partner sites
- Track content and campaigns that are driving traffic
- Be an effective communicator (beyond email), and possess the ability to maintain a healthy working relationship in an open environment with all levels of the organization – also: know how to have fun
- A Bachelor’s Degree is required
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is required, preferably in digital content creation
- Audio and video editing experience is a plus
- Solid SEO knowledge
- Knowledge of social media analytics and best practices is preferred
- Basic MS Office skills are required. Other systems you should have working knowledge of include, Google Analytics, Chartbeat, Slack, Dataminr, etc. and how to use a Content Management System
Entertainment News doesn’t stop at 5pm; occasional evening and weekend work is required.
