Description:
Are you an analytics fanatic that sees the story in the numbers and can translate data into powerful narratives and meaningful insights for our sales teams? Entercom seeks a highly-qualified individual to lead its internal sales research operations.  The right person for the job will have experience turning third-party data into creative stories, competitive positioning and actionable insights that will ultimately improve sales.
  
The ideal candidate has media research experience, extensive research and data mining experience, and success in translating those insights into compelling narratives.
 
In addition to the above, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
  • Position the values of radio and of Entercom Communications Corp.
  • Leverage scale of the Entercom platform to provide cross market insights for clients 
  • Provide sales managers with positioning statements based on the stations’ programming performance, attributes and strengths especially during times of change and adjustment
  • Work closely with our Corporate Research Team, collaborate regarding industry trends and competitive positioning around Entercom’s brands
  • Work with Ad Sales Marketing team on the development of sales tools that incorporate audience analytics
This is a high visibility opportunity reporting into Entercom’s Chief Marketing Officer. The opportunity sits in our corporate offices in New York City

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in Media Research
  • Experience solving marketing problems for clients by providing creative and compelling solutions with quantitative and qualitative backing
  • Proven experience with formulating patterns and stories from data, providing insights and guidance to executives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A natural storyteller.
  • Ability to impact significant revenue with relevant audience insights
  • Experience working in media preferred
  • Proven ability to deliver effective presentations 
  • Previous work with qualitative sources and media mix modeling
