Entercom Portland is seeking a highly organized, creative, detail driven and energetic event professional to join our marketing team. The Event Coordinator will help ensure Entercom’s portfolio of events is executed with excellence. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience in similar role within media, entertainment or agency environments inclusive of managing special events. Proficiency in MS Office suite – specifically Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint – a plus, along with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and ability to communicate clearly and effectively essential for success. 4-year degree in marketing, communications, advertising or a related field preferred. Salary: low 30s.


  • Assist with planning, developing and execution of station events (of any size) as directed by the Event Director

  • Coordinate collateral production to create promotional assets and event signage.

  • Collaborate with multiple departments to create and execute promotions such as remotes, events, ticket drops and other street team activities from start to finish.

  • Oversee maintenance, organization, transportation and storage of vehicles, backdrops, display materials, and performance equipment.  Recommend and schedule repairs as needed.

  • Oversee and coordinate various cluster and station master calendars for all promotions, events, contests, etc.  This will be in conjunction with Programming Promotion Manager and Sales Promotion Manager

  • Ensure all legal requirements from corporate are followed. Prepares contest rules, waivers, and release forms for on air, digital, social media and other contests.

  • Supervises prize inventory and in-studio prize sheets as well as awarding of prizes at events.

  • Oversee Packing for all client appearances and events.

  • Set up / break down and transport promotional event equipment as required.

  • Act as Public Relations representative and supervise all brand ambassadors (part time staff) at all events and station appearances.

  • Maintain composure when faced with difficult situations and personalities.

  • Ticket pick-ups, general errands, the creation of specialty items for events

  • Make sure to post all sales, programming and cluster events on Station websites

  • Execute the requirements of on-site promotions for all stations including station and sales events with a strong street-level presence, activities, and giveaways

  • Book talent and Brand Ambassadors for all sales and programming events

  • Track the performance and effectiveness of each event against predefined targets; pull necessary data and report outcomes and learnings to the rest of the team; use historic data to inform decisions about participation in future events

  • Other duties as assigned from time to time
