KMBZ Midday Producer (full time) - Kansas City

KMBZ News needs an outstanding producer for Midday with Jayme & Wickett.  Midday is a topical phone interactive talk show heard 10a-2p daily.  Duties include:

  • Helping hosts prepare topics & content
  • Record & edit audio
  • Run Audio board during show
  • Screen listener calls & direct show while on air   
  • Manager social media for the Midday Show and Morning News
  • Develop topic and guest ideas with Midday hosts 
  • Typical work hours are Monday - Friday 6am-2pm


The successful candidate should possess:

  • Previous experience producing radio talk shows
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency with social media platforms 
  • Audio editing skills
  • Ability to run tight smooth board during show
  • Knowledge of national & local events
  • Excellent telephone skills
