Description:

Entercom is seeking a Director of Live Events & Experience to create fully integrated marketing solutions to help clients reach their objectives. This position involves working in a high-energy, fast paced environment overseeing the strategy, implementation and execution of non-spot sales activities. The Live Events Director is the subject matter expert overseeing revenue performance generated through the four defined profit centers (events, content/programming sponsorships, ticket revenue and custom fee-based programs)

 

This unique sales management position requires a combination of sales leadership & operations:  a quarterback equally skilled at identifying revenue-generating potential while also understanding the necessary steps for execution to the desired results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

·         Conceive, write and create new non-traditional revenue business opportunities

·         Participate in annual budget planning and individual event budget planning

·         Attend and participate in sales, client and promotions meetings

·         Assist in the training of Account Executives on how to sell events

·         Assist in the brainstorming of categories to call on for events

·         Assist General Sales Managers in managing the New Business Development account lists

·         Coordinate events as defined by all the necessary steps needing to be accomplished by putting together a high profile event or sponsorship

·         Develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients and advertising agencies

·         Assist sellers in growing current sponsor revenue share

·         Develop customized presentations of the highest quality for new and existing revenue opportunities

·         Monitor competition and trends in market

·         Oversight & management of event P&Ls
Develop, package & price sponsor inventory assets (events & content-programming features)

·         Manage & negotiate revenue-focused deal terms for venue and 3rd party partnership agreements

·         Consulting local and regional businesses to understand their needs so that tailored solutions can be designed, implemented, and executed

·         On-going consultation and relationship building with sold clients to ensure performance of their purchased campaigns and to seek renewal and up-sell opportunities

·         Execute a business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of revenue goals

·         Achieving a monthly sales quota

Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in media event planning, developing and executing integrated sales programs; sales leadership
  • Position requires thorough knowledge of media sales and in-depth knowledge of research, marketing and branding; understanding of the difference between sponsorship value vs pure media
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines is required; proven track record
  • Self-motivated and creative
  • Ability to delegate and manage multiple projects at one time; contributes to a collaborative and team-oriented atmosphere; demonstrates proper planning, timeline management and follow through; writes clearly, effectively and accurately
  • Position requires computer skills
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
