Entercom Chicago is looking for a dynamic, self-motivating Local Sales Manager with a proven sales history who exhibits strong leadership skills and the ability to recruit and inspire the best talent. The successful candidate must demonstrate skills at training new account executives, negotiating direct and agency business and have experience and a desire to focus on digital, non traditional and new business initiatives. You must be a proactive problem solver with a record of accomplishment of success with sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
•Recruit and develop New Account Executives
•Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual local revenue goals.
•Cultivate new business efforts to grow spot and non-spot revenue.
•Provide consistent coaching and sales strategy for senior and mid-level sellers.
•Design training workshops for brand new sellers.
•Work with General Sales Manager on weekly planner meetings.
•Implement year round recruitment procedures.
•Monitor sales activity, pacing and budgets.
•Be a creative problem solver and motivator.
•Distribute leads to sales staff from multiple resources.
•Supervise collections on a monthly basis.
•Represent station with professionalism and integrity.
•Maintain effective interdepartmental relationships.
•Other duties as required by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 5+ years experience selling foreground radio. Position requires a demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team of winners and to be a reactive problem solver with a track record of success with Agency, Direct, Digital and event sales. 4 year degree preferred. 3-5 years Large to Major Market experience preferred.
