Media Manager - Government Division

Entercom Communications Corp. Government Division in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Media Manager to support its large, multi-market National campaigns. The Media Manager oversees the implementation of government communication contracts inclusive of, but not limited to, radio, TV, digital, out of home and events.

Duties include: Creating and reviewing media strategies and plans, placing media, monitoring purchased media to make sure the advertisements appear as planned, crediting and/or billing clients as necessary to settle accounts, maintaining necessary performance tracking and media databases; managing timelines and budgets; taking responsibility for projects from start to completion; staying abreast of industry trends, business opportunities and best practices; working cross-functionally with other areas of the department; maintaining positive relationships with third party clients as may be required (e.g. creative relationships, advertising agencies, vendors, etc.); and other related duties as required or assigned.


Candidates must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of media experience or other industry-related experience. Media buying and agency experience a plus. Must have excellent communication and team building skills. The qualified candidate must have the following skill sets:


  • Experience in media coordination and placement of media campaigns 
  • General knowledge of account management, project management and implementation 
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, drop box - Microsoft software and Apple proficiency is ideal 
  • Some experience working within Media software - Tapscan, Scarborough and Nielsen
  • Oversee development of a media plan to meet the objective
  • Manage make goods, credits, media inventory to budget
  • Develop corrective actions when necessary
  • Must be solution oriented and have resourcefulness to problem solve independently

  • Must be a professional and proven team player with customer focus
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply learnings wherever possible
  • Ability to foster a positive relationship with key team members at all levels, internal as well as external 
  • Resolve order and inventory problems by investigating data and history
  • Perform general administrative duties including filing, faxing, copying and phone backup when needed
  • Attend meetings, training sessions and client events as needed
  • Flexibility to work hours early or late as required by deadlines
