Working in partnership with host on topic selection, guest scheduling and live interviews.

Create new approaches to show planning and programming.

Researching broadcast topics through day-to-day evaluation of current events.

Take proactive role in supporting the show and station brand through social media.

Aggressively pursue guests and available sound in breaking news situations.

Manage time effectively and be a positive influence on station operations.

Be an advocate for change.

Use feedback and listen sessions to support the ongoing momentum of the host and program.

Protecting the station’s FCC license.

Assisting in the development of on-air promotions and promotional spots for the show.

Identify audio for re purposing throughout the news day and live afternoon show.

Scheduling talent appearances.

Overseeing live remote broadcasts.

Make station appearances and other duties as required by management.

Minimum of 3+ years producing radio show.  This show requires a creative, fresh approach, multitasking and ability to prioritize. We need a person with a keen eye and ear for a contemporary morning news and information program.  Knowledge of the Southwest US broadcast area and station demographics is helpful; 4 year degree preferred.
