  • Achieve budgetary goals for both revenue and expenses.

  • Stay abreast of trends in marketing, sales and merchandising and promotional tools. 

  • Work directly with Account Executives to oversee the development of new business programs. 

  • Assist Account Executives in prospecting for leads, setting appointments, attending sales calls, brainstorming ideas, developing proposals and closing business.

  • Develop the marketing skills of local Account Executives on the subjects of major account selling and promotion.

  • Participate in the hiring and mentoring of new Account Executives who will be focused on self-generated business.

  • Conduct regularly scheduled training sessions focusing on but not limited to sponsorship sales and event marketing, direct selling to manufacturers and retailers, and cause marketing.

  • Develop exclusive relationships with retailers, manufacturers, direct marketers and service providers, aiming for long-term retainer and project-basis contracts.

  • Submit activity reports as requested by Director of Sales.

  • Other duties as assigned by Director of Sales.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle required.

Minimum 5+ years of radio sales experience.  Requires an ambitious self-motivator and a passion for creative thinking; online, radio or marketing sales experience preferred.  Superior knowledge of MS Office and 4 year degree preferred.
