Traffic Reporter (KRLD)

Job Location: Dallas, TX, US
The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and monitor several different traffic resources (websites/telephone/traffic tip line/scanners/Google maps) to assemble accurate data to be used within traffic reports and other platforms.
Prepare, edit and deliver on air traffic reports, breaking traffic alerts or prerecorded traffic reports in a timely matter as scheduled for Entercom Dallas Radio stations KRLD-AM & KLUV-FM.
Coordinate traffic information into a cohesive traffic report every 10 minutes. Gather, write and input traffic incident information into dedicated traffic computer system.
Answer traffic tip hotline and verify information given by listeners.
Monitor social media platforms and TxDot camera shots for breaking traffic information.
Post traffic incidents on social media platforms and radio station websites as directed.
A minimum of two years traffic reporting experience is preferred. Knowledge of the local broadcast area roadways, geography and transportation systems are essential. Must have proficiency with basic computer programs, preferably Google Docs, along with prior experience of prerecording traffic reports. Ability to work under pressure, meet broadcast deadlines, prioritize and give direction.
